CBSE Open book test for Class 9 and 11 to be conducted for 10 marks – OTBA only for 9th and 11th
TAMIL NADU: From this year the open book test will be conducted for both 9th standard and 11th std. Open Text Based Assessment (OTBA) will be accounted for 10 marks in the final exam. This system is only for these classes. The exams will be conducted as previous years but the question paper will contain the OBTA section for 10 marks. CBSE board will provide the open text materials. The OBTA questions will be asked along with the questions taken the syllabus.
As the new questions are included, the weightage of the each units will differ. The CBSE open book test materials for 9th standard has been released previously for English, Hindi, Mathematics, Science and Social Science subjects. Now the CBSE open book test materials for 11th has been released for all subjects - Geography, Biology, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Computer science, Botany, Zoology, Accountancy, commerce.
The CBSE Open book questions will be supplied to the schools by the Integrated Test Management System (ITMS). As this is the new system, students are requesting for the CBSE open book test sample questions.
